German humor - that’s right.
Swoo who? Swoodoo is a German travel site, owned by Kayak. Since we do the European Kayak account, I found myself making a German campaign - and it was heaps of fun. Swoodoo has always had these two characters, handpuppets Swoo and Doo, and we inherited them with the account. We decided to give them more distinct personalities - Swoo being the smart one who uses swoodoo.com to find cheap flights, Doo trying to fly for free, which normally ends badly for him. We realized that since they are handpuppets, we can use very physical humour - and that's just the way the Germans like it.
We extended the fun to the Swoodoo page, where you can win tickets by guessing the location where Doo is getting into painful trouble.
